Turkey Trot


Thursday November 24 beginning at 7:00 AM be a part of the largest ever gathering of people dressed as turkeys! The Capital One Bank Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot is the largest Thanksgiving Day event of its kind in the country. Bring your best "turkey dressing" out to this year's Trot to beat the record for the largest gathering of humans dressed as turkeys!

Sundance Square parade of Lights

It begins the day after Thanksgiving in downtown Fort Worth, starting at Belknap Street to Commerce, around 6th Street to Houston Street and to Weatherford. The Sundance Square parade of Lights this year theme is “Christmas Delights” with over 100 Floats with hundreds of shapes and lights, marching bands, antiques cars and cowboy Santa. Parade starts at 6:00 PM on Friday the day after Thanksgiving,


Prairie Lights

Prairie Lights is a two mile drive of festive lights featuring over 4 million light display. Take your picture with  Santa or enjoy the carnival rides. Located at 5700 Lake Ridge Parkway in Grand Prairie at Lynn Creek Park.


3rd Annual Grub Run

Grub Run is a 5K run at the Texas Motor Speedway located at 3545 Lone Star Circle in Fort Worth, Texas. The 3rd Annual Grub Run is benefiting the Tarrant Area Food Bank on thanksgiving day Novemebr 24th at 8:00AM
